Release

January hasn't been kind to me. Late night at work is more of a rule rather than an exception. Not to mentioned coming in on Saturdays for 3 weeks straight. So it was quite a release last Friday to get out at 6 (pathetic I know) to be able to get out and shoot, eventhough the next day I still had to come in to work. Here's some street shot around Grand Central Station.

Redddddd

Driving around Fell's Point when I visited Baltimore last December, I spotted a row of vintage beauties. Turns out the area is a weekend hangout for a group of guys almosts as old as their beloved classics. Among them were a classic Chevy Impala, with its awesome red paint job. After a few minutes of circling around it like a vulture, to the amusement of the owner, I got down to business and started snapping picture.

Grand Central Panorama

This is my first experiment with stiching a series of 3 images in Photoshop CS2. Its still crude so bare with me. The idea struck me while I was walking around Grand Central station trying to get a decent shot. Note to self, never use too wide a lense for stiching purposes. Correcting distortion can prove to be a nuissance.
So here it is. Its a work in progress, hopefully the next ones will be better. Click on it for a bigger version.

Off the ground

"Take my picture while I jump" my wife ask. Huh? I don't know about that. "Come on,it'll be fun"...ok...she's the boss...but wait...it looked great at 17mm in my viewfinder. So here's the result.

Lexington & 53rd

My first post in 2006 :). The building where I work at 5th Avenue has a subway station right under it. Still a lot of times I choose to walk 3 blocks to Lexington and 53rd to catch the train home from the station under the Citigroup Center. I get some fresh air, a bit of an exercise, and a view like the series below:
